Every day’s a school day: Lauren Winn

Annual appraisals are rarely just a tick-box exercise at EJOT UK as Lauren Winn, Area Sales Manager (M62 Corridor), has just proved!

Lauren’s ‘personal challenge’ list included getting more hands-on knowledge to enable her to obtain a greater understanding of EJOT products during the installation process, and from the user’s perspective. As a result, she has recently completed a series of ‘week on the tools’ workshops – courtesy of Hadfield Roofing & Cladding.
 
Based in Mexborough South Yorkshire, Hadfield Roofing & Cladding Limited is one of the UK’s leading industrial specialists with a first-class reputation stretching back to the 1980s. Under the personal stewardship of company director, Jo Hadfield, Lauren has been able to put in a daily shift on site at Thurcroft, near Rotherham, where the company has recently completed a series of industrial units comprising of twin skin roofs and walls, GRP rooflights, composite panels, bullnoses etc. Her schedule included installations of side panels, installing into heavy section steel, roof build-up, roof lights and cutting of panels.
 
Lauren said, “I wanted to get a feel for using our products in a real-time situation, but I learnt so much more – a sort of theory meets reality rain check! I can see why customers value our products, especially from a trust and reliability perspective. I also came away with a great deal of respect for the knowledge, planning and total professionalism there is on the customer side of the fence. Big thanks to Jo and all at Hadfield’s – I genuinely felt like one of their team!”
 
Jo Hadfield said, “Lauren got stuck in and wasn’t scared to get her hands dirty - quickly too – she is a fast learner!
