Bi-metallic

The head and main threaded section are manufactured from 304 A2 (JT3) and 316 A4 (JT6) austenitic stainless steel, while the drill point and lead-in threads are made of hardened carbon steel. The hardened drill point allows the screw to efficiently drill into mild steel sections whilst the lead threads create precision tapping at the designated drilling speed.
